I am a teacher at heart, and also a writer, photographer, and artist. For over 16+ years, I have worked in the field of Special Needs education, learning as much from my students as I have from any training or qualification. I consider myself a lifelong learner—constantly asking questions about who I am, how I can grow, and how I can serve better. Life has offered me many experiences, quiet lessons, and moments of deep learning, all of which shape the way I work today.
I am driven by the hope of reaching one more child, supporting one more family, and connecting with one more person who needs guidance along their journey. I have been fortunate to work alongside thoughtful educators, mentors, and colleagues who have influenced my practice in meaningful ways. Most importantly, my students have continually reshaped how I see teaching, learning, and myself as an educator.
I do not claim to be a perfect teacher, the best writer, an exceptional photographer, or a remarkable artist—but I show up, I try, and I keep learning.
Each day, my goal is simply to do a little better than the day before.
Through my work as an independent facilitator at The Learning Space, I support students and parents by developing IEPs, planning meaningful resources, and strengthening reading and comprehension skills. I also design and lead training sessions focused on inclusion and intervention. I am always open to sharing my learning and experience with schools, teachers, parents, and students, and to growing alongside the communities I work with.
